Colleges, universities and other teaching platforms tend to talk about the technical aspects of the job and other skills but never how things actually work in a practical sense or from the perspective of the studio hiring you as an artist. Additionally, a big part of my job was literally to spend hours with the VFX Supervisor (sometimes the producers and director too) evaluating the artists's work, so I can tell you what the expectations are , both when it comes to the quality of the work and you as a member of the crew.

So, we'll be starting by understanding how things work in the industry, then how to meet those expectations. I'll be asking about your experiences, what roles you're aiming for, and what your journey has been so far so we can move forward together. We'll take a look at your resume and reel/portfolio, and finally make sure you understand and are prepared for when you do land the job. What is it going to be like and best practices to not only meet, but surpass their expectations. I look forward to seeing you there.
